A few minutes from our hotel, you can enjoy fly fishing on the River Noce or in one of the stunning alpine streams of our wonderful Trentino during your stay in Val di Non. At Pineta Nature Resort, you are in the ideal place to devote yourself to fly fishing. Less than ten minutes from the hotel flows the River Noce, one of Trentino’s most renowned fishing spots, where you can fish in special no-kill zones.
Alternatively, you could choose the Pescara stream, the Barnes, or one of the many small watercourses in the area such as the Rio San Romedio that flows through Val di Non – also a location for the Fly Fishing World Championship.
The Noce offers various opportunities: canyons with marvelous scenery, stretches perfect for dry fly fishing, and faster sections where you can fish using nymphs or streamers. Here you’ll find the ideal conditions to truly live your passion.
Within about half an hour you can head over to nearby Val di Sole and book a reserved (by reservation only) stream section in the beautiful Val di Rabbi, where you can try for the prized marble trout; or move further south to the River Noce in Piana Rotaliana and try your luck with the grayling, a true icon for fly anglers.
Most of the waterways in Trentino-Alto Adige (mountain lakes, rivers, and streams) are classified as salmonid waters, and the Noce and other waters around Pineta Nature Resort are rich with trout!
Trentino’s waters’ richness and quality will surprise you, with modern management. Val di Non is ahead in many respects, with numerous stretches dedicated to no-kill fishing and the exclusive use of artificial lures, fly or spinning. Guests will appreciate the ability to purchase permits online, the novelty of sections with mandatory reservations and limited numbers, updated fishing maps, and brochures… all attention to detail here at Pineta designed for anglers.
The fishing season begins the first Sunday of March and usually ends on 30 September, though in some waters it can open already in February or extend to the end of October (each season must be checked per location). The prized species in our waters include marble trout, Arctic char in high-altitude lakes, but you’ll also find brown trout, rainbow trout, and in some rivers, the grayling.
To fish in Val di Non, besides respecting regulations, you’ll need a valid fishing permit.
